CPU-basic quota limit error with only 1 paused Space (account ibbo2121) Body:

Hi HF team,

Getting a persistent error trying to run my Space:

“You’ve reached your CPU-basic quota limit, please upgrade your account, or pause your previous Spaces to restart this one.”

Details:

  • Username: ibbo2121
  • Space: ibbo2121/Jarvis
  • SDK: Docker
  • Hardware: CPU-basic (free tier)
  • Status: Space is currently Paused
  • This is the only Space on my account — confirmed via my profile Spaces tab (1 Space total, Paused)
  • This is a brand new account, never previously run a Space successfully
  • Error occurs immediately when clicking “Restart this Space,” with zero other Spaces running

This looks like the same account-level quota tracking issue reported here: [link to the thread you found — “CPU Basic quota stuck even after pausing all Spaces”]

Could someone check my account’s quota state? Happy to provide any additional info needed.

Thanks!

Same quota-tracking bug reported by a couple of other users (LANCIC-IF, aideveloperlol26) with the exact same setup, one paused Space and still hitting the cpu-basic limit. It’s an account-level tracking issue, not something pausing/restarting fixes on your end. They were told to email website@huggingface.co with their username and Space id, worth doing the same and mentioning those other threads so support sees the pattern.

Hi @ibbo2121 and @RDTvlokip To run a Space on cpu-basic you’ll need to subscribe to PRO. You can also add credits to use CPU/GPU hardware options at anytime.

Hi @meganariley, just to clarify, I don’t need the PRO subscription myself, I already have it, I was just helping troubleshoot @ibbo2121’s report as a community member. Also worth flagging: cpu-basic is listed as the free tier (that’s the hardware ibbo2121 selected, “CPU-basic (free tier)”), so if it now requires PRO to run at all, that’s a change worth clarifying in the docs, since the quota error message ibbo2121 got specifically referenced pausing other Spaces to free up cpu-basic quota, not a subscription requirement.
